How to check whether the coating after UV light oil curing is uniform?

Visual inspection: Under good lighting conditions, visually observe the coating surface for defects such as uneven gloss, color differences, cracks, or sagging. This method is simple and direct, but may not be able to detect minor coating unevenness issues.

Touch inspection: Check for unevenness or uneven coating thickness by touching the surface of the coating. This method relies on the operator's experience and intuition, and may not be precise enough.

Thickness measurement: Use a coating thickness gauge (such as a magnetic thickness gauge or ultrasonic thickness gauge) to measure the coating thickness at different locations. If there is a significant difference in coating thickness, it may indicate uneven coating.

Glossiness measurement: Use a glossiness meter (such as a glossiness meter) to measure the glossiness of the coating surface. Uneven glossiness may indicate uneven curing of the coating.

Transmittance measurement: For transparent or semi transparent coatings, a transmittance meter can be used to check whether the coating is uniform. Uneven coating may result in inconsistent transmittance.

Microscopic examination: Use an optical microscope or electron microscope to conduct a more detailed inspection of the coating, observing whether there are bubbles, cracks, or other defects inside the coating.

Chemical analysis: By conducting chemical analysis on the coating, such as infrared spectroscopy analysis, it is possible to detect whether the coating composition is uniform and whether there are uncured areas.

Physical performance testing: By testing the physical properties of the coating, such as adhesion, wear resistance, and flexibility, the uniformity of the coating can be indirectly evaluated. If there are significant differences in physical properties in different regions, it may indicate uneven coating.
